The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) recognizes the diversity of the Northwest Territories’ public service and is committed to providing a work environment where every employee is treated with fairness, dignity and respect. Harassment can affect employee well-being and impact the workplace and the GNWT’s reputation. The Northwest Territories’ Human Rights Act provides every person in the workplace the right to freedom from harassment that is related to their race, colour, ancestry, nationality, ethnic origin, place of origin, creed, religion, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, family status, family affiliation, political belief, political association, social condition or pardoned criminal conviction.
