Description:

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is committed to ensuring all services are available to all residents of the Northwest Territories. However, specific market conditions are not addressed while using the GNWT’s Hay Method of Job Evaluation, therefore it is difficult to remain competitive for specific positions. Where it can be established there is a clear business/organizational need, supported by objective market data, the GNWT may consider applying a labour market supplement to the established compensation package for the position(s).

Labour market supplements are a tool to be used in exceptional circumstances to adjust compensation packages to be more competitive in a wider public and private sector labour market.
