The Public Service Act establishes the NWT Public Service and:
- outlines the basic terms and conditions of employment;
- identifies the rights and responsibilities of employees and employer; and
- creates the labour relations framework of the GNWT.
Who is responsible for administering the Public Service Act and Regulations?
The Department of Finance administers the Public Service Act and the Public Service Regulations.
How can I find out more about what the NWT Public Service does?
The Department of Finance releases the Public Service Annual Report each year to provide the public with information on the management and direction of the Public Service for the Government of the Northwest Territories.
