Budget Dialogues 2021

What are the Budget Dialogues?

The Budget Dialogues are an opportunity for residents of the Northwest Territories (NWT) to learn more about how the Government of the Northwest Territories’ (GNWT) budget works and to share their views on spending priorities.

How do I participate?

Online sessions

All NWT residents are invited to participate in one of the following online discussions with Minister of Finance Caroline Wawzonek. These discussions are intended to provide residents with information about the GNWT budget and the current economic and fiscal situation of the NWT.

July 6th: 7pm to 9pm [Complete]

July 9th:  11am to 1pm [Complete]

The Minister of Finance will also be holding separate sessions with Indigenous governments and Indigenous organizations, community governments, businesses, and non-governmental organizations. Participation in these sessions is by invitation only.

Survey

A brief online survey was available for residents to provide more detailed input on the GNWT budget and spending priorities. The survey is now closed.

How can my input make a difference?

Your input is greatly valued and will play an important role in developing future budgets for the GNWT.
