The purpose of this guideline is to provide a standardized methodology for developing Records Disposition Authorities (RDAs) for identifying, describing, organizing, classifying, retaining, and disposing of operational records. The guideline also describes the approved processes, formats, and requirements for the development, maintenance, amendment, and approval of Records Disposition Authorities.
