Section: 1701 Commitment Accounting

This policy was amended to be consistent with current accounting control standards and best practice and in accordance with PSAB and FAM 1801 and 1802. In addition, directives have been revised for relevance, redundancy and consistency with the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and the reporting standards for SAM.

Approval of this Policy is within the scope of powers and duties entrusted to the Comptroller General in accordance with section 12(2) of the FAA and FAM Policy 1042, Directive 4.4.
