Set up 'Forgot Password' Feature

Avoid getting locked out of PeopleSoft! If you ever forget your password, setting up this feature will allow you to authenticate yourself to have an automatic password e-mailed to you.

If you don't set this up, the e-mailed password will not work as the system has no question to identify you are the correct employee.

To set up the password feature, sign in to PeopleSoft and follow these steps:

  1. Access "My System Profile," found on the left hand menu. This will open the “General Profile Information” screen.
  2. Choose the link "Change or set up forgotten password help".
  3. Select a question from the drop down menu.
  4. Enter your personal response.
  5. Click ‘OK’ to save.

Important!

In order to ensure you receive all system-related emails, it is vital that your email address be set up correctly in your General Profile Information. From the Main Menu, navigate to “My System Profile” (the second-last hyperlink in your menu) and update the email address at the bottom of the page, if required.

To avoid getting locked out:

If, after 3 attempts you are unable to sign-in, it's a good time to use the Forgot Your Password link. The ‘Forgot Your Password’ link is located on the Oracle PeopleSoft Sign-in Page

Locked Out?

If you find yourself locked out of PeopleSoft ("your account has been disabled"), you will need to contact the HR Helpdesk to unlock your account.
