What is the GNWT Advisory Committee on Employability?
The GNWT Advisory Committee on Employability (GACE) provides advice to the Deputy Ministers’ Human Resources Committee. Committee members will promote awareness of the committee’s mandate and objectives.

What does the GNWT Advisory Committee on Employability do?
GACE advises on methods to:
Work with Non- governmental organizations to exchange information about programs and areas of importance to persons with disabilities;
- Reduce stigma, and foster a spirit of inclusion and awareness among GNWT employees through educational and awareness;
- Work with departments, agencies and boards on activities that will lead to the elimination of barriers for persons with disabilities in the workplace;
- Promote, support and increase representation of persons with disabilities with the GNWT workforce.
Who are the members of the GNWT Advisory Committee on Employability?
GACE includes one Chair and one member from each of the five regions in the Northwest Territories (Beaufort Delta, Sahtu, North Slave, South Slave, and Deh Cho) plus one member to represent Yellowknife. GACE is chaired by the Deputy Minister of Finance and appointment GACE members that will be confirmed in writing. All reasonable efforts will be made to ensure regional, gender and cultural representation.
