The Internal Audit Bureau provides value added service that brings a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.

The Internal Audit Bureau follows the internal auditing standards established by the Institute of Internal Auditors. The Internal Audit Bureau is a founding member of the Government Internal Auditors Council of Canada, supported by the Canadian Comprehensive Auditing Foundation CCAF.
